Hydraulic fracturing – also known as fracking – is a highly destructive and dangerous process of drilling and injecting fluid into the ground at high pressure in order to “fracture” shale rock to release the natural gas inside. This extraction method poses incredible environmental and human health risks. In fact, chemicals used during fracking can leach out of the system contaminating groundwater and harming air quality – potentially poisoning nearby communities.

Fracking threatens the air we breathe, the water we drink, and endangers our communities. There is no such thing as “safe” fracking.

The process is inherently dangerous and a ban on fracking is the only way to protect our water, our air, and our communities. Please sign the petition now and help Stop Fracking Now.
